Education and Outreach

The Cameron County Conservation District works hard to provide many types of education and outreach opportunities for all ages.  In the past the District has offered teacher workshop, community workshops, and field days for school aged children.  Some workshops are recurring, in 2020, the District hosted the 17th Annual Agricultural Producers' Meeting.  In addition to this workshop, the District holds community workshops on composting, rain barrels, pollinator habitat and other backyard conservation topics.  The District also works hard to keep the community up to date on regulatory requirements issued by the Department of Environmental Protection.  In cooperation with the Elk, McKean, Potter, Tioga and Warren County Conservation District's, an annual Erosion Control in our Forests, workshop is hosted each year for the timber harvesting community,  2018 will be hosted in Cameron County and 2019 will be hosted in Warren County.  This allows a consistent message to be delivered across the northern tier. The District will also host workshops or training upon request.  To learn more about workshops or to request more information contact us.
